On the occasion of ‘Sports Day’ under “शिक्षण सप्ताह” The Department of SPORTS of Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel had organised Sports Day on 24th July,2024 under the guidance of Respected Principal Mr. Prashant More Sir, Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam (science), Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir (Commerce & Arts).
On this special occasion we arranged speech on ‘Traditional Sports and Its Importance in our life ‘ which was given by Mr. Dilip Patil sir. In his speech he informed the students how health is important, why we should avoid fast food and how we can keep the doctor away by playing such outdoor games. Students enjoyed it alots and got information about various traditional games like Playing Lagori, Doing Yogasana, Playing Marbles, Spinner, Rope jump etc. under the guidance of H.O.D of Sports Department – Mr. Arun Patil Sir and Mr. Manoj Patil Sir and Mrs .Madhvi Koli Madam sports teachers.
On this occasion an oath was taken by the students and teachers to follow the rules and regulation of sports for maintaning decipline and developing various qualities in our life.
Mr.Arun Patil sir concluded the programme by giving motivation to join the mission and create Healthy and Happy NIPUN BHARAT.
