On 3rd December 2024, Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Panvel, organized a free eye checkup camp for students, teaching and non-teaching staff, specifically for 12th-grade students. This initiative was conducted under the guidance of the respected Principal,
Mr. Prashant More Sir, Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir (Arts and Commerce) and Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam (Science). The aim was to ensure that students are in optimal health before their board examinations, emphasizing the importance of good vision during their studies and exams.
All 12th-grade students of Arts, Commerce and Science had their eyes checked. The objectives of the camp were:
– To provide free eye examinations to 12th-grade students ahead of their board exams.
– To identify any vision-related issues that may affect academic performance.
– To raise awareness about maintaining eye health during intense study periods.
A skilled team led by Mrs.Sonal Haldankar, along with eye care professionals from Iris Eye Hospital, facilitated the event.
