On 5th December 2024, the Pillai College of Engineering, New Panvel had organized intercollege competition ” MAKERTHON 2024″ Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel also participated in Makerthon under the guidance of the Respected Principal Mr. Prashant More Sir, Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir(Arts and Commerce), and Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam (Science), The students from XI and XII standard participated in 3 different groups ( 4 students in each group). Students from class XI Science Miss. Asmita Borde XI S4, Miss. Amisha Chavan XI S5, Miss. Shalu Sharma XI S1 and Miss. Komal Verma XI S1 secured First prize awarded with trophy and group cash prize 10000 rupee and (mentor)guided teacher Mrs. Pratima Padwal Madam awarded with trophy and cash prize 3000 rupee under the group category Creativity Speaks, and the other groups under the category Science and Technology, Mast. Indra Waingankar XII S9, Mast. Sai Molawade XI S7, Mast. Atharva Gavnang XI S7, Miss. Yogeshwari Ankam XI S1, Mast. Aditya Dolas XII S2, Mast. Chinmay Nanaware XII S2, Mast. Anand Payare XI S9, Mast. Sudhakar Yadav XI S8 were awarded with certificates with guided teacher Mr. Jitendra Mistari Sir.
The event witness the students to not only provide platform to express their understanding of Science concepts but also encouraged teamwork and collaboration, showcasing the innovative spirit.
